Last Tuesday, “Ruby”, a vivacious Beagle, decided to take herself on a solo adventure, much to the distress of her owner, one of the founders of Paw Xplore. But little did Ruby know, she was wearing the very product that would ensure her safe return home!
Unlike the traditional dog tags that offer static information, Paw Xplore’s innovative tags act as a digital profile for our furry friends. These tags can be scanned to pull up essential details such as the dog’s name, owner’s contact information, and more. What sets it apart is its unique SMS feature. When someone finds a lost dog sporting this tag, they can either send an SMS detailing the dog’s location or create a pre-written SMS to notify the owner.
In Ruby’s case, a kind stranger found her exploring the local park, miles away from home. Intrigued by the unique tag around her neck, they scanned it, and within minutes, Ruby’s owner received an SMS alert about her whereabouts.
The good Samaritan, impressed by the efficiency of the tag, exclaimed, “It’s like having a GPS for your dog without the batteries! Where can I get one?”
“We wanted to create something that combines technology with the safety of our pets,” said Ruby’s owner. “It’s ironic but also reassuring that Ruby was the one to prove its effectiveness.”
